CANTON, GA — The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that Sequoyah High School will hold its annual homecoming parade on Wednesday, Oct. 3 in the Hickory Flat community. The parade route will travel in front of Dean Rusk Middle School at 2761 East Cherokee Drive and in front of Sequoyah High School at 4485 Hickory Road. Motorists should note both roads in front of the schools will be shut down between 6:30 p.m.to 7:15 p.m. Residents who are not involved in the parade are encouraged to avoid the area, as traffic delays are expected.(For more news like this,<a href="https://patch.com/georgia"> find your local Patch here</a>.
