Motorcyclist Injured In Cherokee County Crash

The two-vehicle collision was reported Tuesday afternoon in the Keithsburg community, which is north of Canton.

CANTON, GA — A motorcyclist was injured in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Cherokee County. The collision was reported in front of Big Poppa's Smoke Shop at 2347 Canton Highway, which is in the Keithsburg community north of Canton, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office said.

A preliminary report indicates a motorcycle operated by Angela Pastula, 50, of Daytona, Florida, was traveling south on the highway when a northbound vehicle driven by 26-year-old Mallory Jones of Woodstock "turned in front of Pastula," said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Jay Baker.

Pastula suffered serious injuries from the collision and was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment. Jones was not injured in the accident.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the accident, and no charges have been filed at this time.
