  1. Last night's Canton City Council meeting is now available to watch online. The agenda included a public hearing, discussion, and possible action on the charter amendment to reapportion the city council wards, a presentation from Canton Transportation Master Plan, the city manager and mayor's reports, and more.   3. As of Wednesday, Delta Community Credit Union began accepting entries for its annual scholarship program. Qualified applicants would be Delta Community members seeking a first-time undergraduate degree and enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university during the 2023-2024 fall semester.   4. Canton residents who regularly visit Woodstock may have seen a new addition to Main Street recently: Pedal Punk ATL's quadricycle, which is capable of carrying up to 12 people. The small business, founded by Woodstock local Amy Moore, features music and a mounted television for trivia and sports events and follows a circuit around downtown.   5. Look for a full snow moon and the rare Comet ZTF on Sunday! Canton and Sixes residents can look in the eastern sky around 6:09 p.m. to watch the moon as it drifts above the horizon. Before the moon turns full, residents can also try to catch a glimpse of a rare green comet: Comet ZTF. It should still be visible for a couple more weeks before disappearing for another 50,000 years. (Patch)

  • Applications are open for Cherokee County School District to request a school reassignment. Parents can also help their children apply to i-Grad Virtual Academy for grades 9 through 12. These application windows will only be open until Mar. 1. (Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News via Facebook)
