WALESKA, GA — Reinhardt University is among an elite group of colleges ranking in U.S. News & World Report's Best Regional Colleges South ranking. The college moved to the 25th slot for the 2019 list, according to information released Monday.

Reinhardt's spot in 2018 was No. 29 and No. 54 in 2017, respectively. College Consensus, a ranking program that combines data from the most respected college ranking publications and the most reliable student review sites online, also ranked Reinhardt No. 10 in Georgia out of all colleges and universities in the state. In this poll, Reinhardt is in impressive company with the University of Georgia, Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University.

“Anytime Reinhardt is recognized for excellence is a day for celebration,” said President Kina S. Mallard. “The fact that students are perceiving and acknowledging the strengths we know are at the core of Reinhardt University is reward in and of itself. To have peer institutions recognize and report on our thriving institution is an acknowledgment of the fine faculty and staff we’ve assembled whose focus is solely on creating the unique Reinhardt Experience where each student thrives.”

“Of course, we are grateful for the recognition as we continue to climb in rankings like those of U.S. News & World Report and College Consensus, because rankings like these validate externally the intellectual work performed internally by our faculty and students every day,” said Provost Mark A. Roberts. “At Reinhardt, we have a proud tradition and solid dedication to teaching and learning in a way that educates the whole person, and this is what we are most proud of as we receive such recognition.”

This fall, Reinhardt has already enrolled more than 1,500 students, and expects to finish near 1,600 in total enrollment when its non-traditional enrollment is completed in October.

Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Reinhardt offers more than 40 undergraduate programs and five graduate degrees, serving students on campus and online. The institution serves both traditional and non-traditional students at locations in Canton, Cartersville, Cumming, Jasper, Woodstock and its main campus in Waleska.
