  1. Firefighters from Cherokee County rushed to Coleman's Landing near River Forest Lane after reports of a residential fire came in. The blaze was quickly extinguished and firefighters remained on the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. No residents were home at the time of the incident.   3. The North Georgia Angel House of Canton has received a new roof from a local organization. The North Georgia Angel House helps to support and protect girls throughout the state who are in foster care. Earlier this year, one of the roofs of the homes the girls live in began to leak. Ahead of the blistering cold that is predicted, Terminus Construction Group has gifted the nonprofit a new roof. (ABC17News.com)

  5. Four Cherokee County firefighters have graduated from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. All four passed the basic law enforcement training program. The graduation took place on Friday at the Jasper United Methodist Church. Three of the firefighters work as SWAT Team medics; the other is a Cherokee County Fire Investigator.
