- According to a Jul. 7 presentation from the city of Canton, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners (CCBOC) is expected to adopt the final intergovernmental agreement on Aug. 2, 2022. The Holly Springs City Council approved an agreement with CCBOC on how the city will spend the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenues if the voters extend the tax. - The Cherokee County Health Department is hosting two more back-to-school health clinics to get kids ready with screenings and immunizations. - The Friends of the Cherokee County Public Libraries book sale is Friday, Jul. 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. through Saturday, Jul. 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Hickory Flat Public Library in Canton. A preview sale will be on Thursday, Jul. 21, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be a preview sale that is only open to members of the Friends of the Cherokee County Public Libraries. - On Thursday, Oct. 6, the Woodstock Public Safety Foundation will hold its seventh annual charity golf tournament. The tournament will take place at the BridgeMill Athletic Club, located at 1190 Bridge Mill Avenue in Canton. (Cherokee Tribune & Ledger News)
