- As Georgia Cities Week continues, CanTeen and the City of Canton are holding a Teen | Young Adult Jobs & Resources Fair at City Hall from 3 - 6 p.m. today. There's a long list of local organizations and businesses that will be on hand to meet with hopefuls, and there are opportunities for regular, seasonal and part-time employment and internships. If you're looking to complete volunteer hours, there will even be organizations looking for volunteers. Mentors will be at the event ready to review your resume and give you some interview tips. You can enjoy free snacks and drinks while you're there, and there will even be raffles going on. Canton City Hall is located at 110 Academy Street. (Canton GA Calendar)
- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is asking for help in locating two missing juveniles. Violet Heath, 15, was last seen in the Victoria area around 4 p.m. on Friday. She was wearing a black and white plaid shirt and ripped blue jeans and is described as a white female with brown hair. Brandon Gonzalez, 16, was last seen near Pioneer Drive and West Wiley Bridge Road on April 14. He may be with another juvenile in the area of Old Farm Court, Woodstock or Cobb County. He is described as a 5-foot-five, 130-pound Hispanic male with long, tightly-curled hair and brown eyes. - Head over to your local Sequoyah Regional Library System (SRLS) library branch to get up to $15 of your library fines forgiven in celebration of National Library Week. All SRLS libraries are participating in the program through Sunday. The fines can be from the past or present, though some fees may not be eligible for forgiveness. - Canton was home to a whole pack of German Shepherds last weekend as they competed in a series of dog shows. Two shows were held each day, Friday through Sunday, thanks to the partnership of the AKC and the German Shepherd Dog Clubs of Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. There were over 50 participants in the weekend shows, including puppies and seniors alike, and they were all adorable! (Subscription: Cherokee Tribune & Ledger-News)

- Free Caregiver Support Group: presented by Cherokee County Senior Services, featuring guests from the Atlanta Regional Commission with advice on resources like free classes and workshops. There is also time for an open discussion between caregivers and staff from Senior Services. The meeting is open to all seniors and anyone that cares for a senior citizen and will be held at Woodstock Recreation and Parks, located at 7545 Main Street, Building 200. - Shut Up & Write! Cherokee County / Woodstock: join the Meetup group for an hour of writing, surrounded by writers. Quick introductions at 6 p.m., writing starts at 6:15, and when the end of the session comes at 7:15, you can hang around to chat, keep on writing or you can head out. - Wine Dinner, Presented by Corridor Publishing: the private event features a wine pairing and fine dining experience with a French-inspired menu prepared by Chef Vincent. The dinner will be at C'est la Vie, 361 East Main Street. (6 - 8:30 p.m.)
- Music Bingo: every Monday at Sidelines Grille - Canton, 147 Reinhardt College Parkway. (7 p.m.)
- Line Dancing: the evening begins with lessons and the dancing goes all night every Monday at Canton Icehouse, 150 Keith Drive. (7 p.m.)
- Braves Game on The Big Screen: head to The Green to watch the Braves game with your friends and neighbors at The Mill on Etowah, 225 Reformation Parkway. (7:20 - 10 p.m.)

- Be sure to catch the first in the Unwind Wednesdays series this week at Cherokee Veterans Park. The evening's family-friendly event is titled "Yoga in the Park," and Michel Delifer from Ember Hot Yoga in Downtown Woodstock will lead the the yoga session. The event will run from 5:30 - 8 p.m. and will include food trucks, vendors, music and much more. (Cherokee Recreation & Parks)
- Parent's Night Out at the Cherokee Aquatic Center is going on this Friday. Drop off the kids from 5:15 - 10 p.m., and while you are out and about, the kids will be enjoying a swim, dinner, crafts, games and a movie. - Reminder: It's time to apply for small business funding via the Cherokee Small Business Grant. The application window for this round opens on April 17 at 8 a.m. and closes April 30 at noon, and eligible businesses can apply for up to $30,000 in grant funds. You can find the application for the grant here. The program is in place to help small businesses in the county that have suffered a negative economic impact from the pandemic, have no more than 500 employees, are independently owned and operated and are not dominant in their field.
