Website, Survey Seeks Feedback On Cherokee County's Housing
The Cherokee Planning Division launched a website and survey to solicit feedback on the county's housing challenges and potential solutions.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — The Cherokee County Planning and Zoning Division has launched an online website and survey to solicit feedback on the county’s housing challenges and potential solutions.
The county engaged Bleakly Advisory Group and completed a housing study last year. The study gathered input from county residents, employees, business owners and local officials to gain insight on housing preferences in the community.
“Homes make up a big part of Cherokee County,” Principal Planner Margaret Stallings said. “It is critical that we have the right mix of homes to match the needs of our residents and those employed in the county. We need the community’s input to guide our housing initiatives.”

Small multi-family buildings represent 2 percent, large multi-family units represent 8 percent, and mobile homes (which also includes trailers, RVs and boats) are 4 percent.
To help solicit feedback from the community, Cherokee County has partnered with the cities of
Woodstock, Holly Springs and Canton, as well as the Atlanta Regional Commission to host an online survey through Feb. 28.
