2,000 Seedlings to be Distributed Arbor Day

To celebrate the state holiday Friday, local organizers are set to pass out four types of small trees for planting.

Arbor Day is Friday and you can get involved. Pick up a seedling and plant a tree or attend a community event.

Keep Bartow Beautiful will partner with Bartow Master Gardeners, Georgia Forestry Commission and a host of other community partners to celebrate Georgia holiday.

Taking into account both Valentine’s Day and National Heart Month, the theme is “Garden with Heart — Plant a Tree.”  The color red is closely tied to Valentine’s Day and two of the tree selections will reflect that color theme.
