Cartersville Schools Transportation Director to Retire
The city school board is set to meet at 6 p.m. Monday and is expected to accept the resignation.

In addition to setting 2012 tuition rates, which are expected to remain unchanged, and revising its vision and mission statements, the is expected at its Monday meeting at 6 p.m. to accept the resignation of Wendell Gray, director of transportation, who is retiring.
Current Facilities Coordinator Ken Paige is set to be director of both transporation and facilities.
Also on the agenda are measures to change the system's vision statement to “A Tradition of Excellence–Making It Personal” and the mission statement to “A Tradition ... In preparing students for the challenges of progress and change; Through development of the skills necessary to become lifelong learners; In order that they may live successful and productive lives."
