Cemetery Preservation and Symbolism

In a 154-year-old cemetery, there is a great need to preserve the structures of the cemetery and its history for generations to come.

Rome’s Historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery, established by the city of Rome in 1857, remains an active cemetery today. 

Anne Culpepper, docent for Myrtle Hill, will discuss cemetery preservation and symbolism at the Bartow History Museum’s Lunch and Learn.
