These small gems of the mineral kingdom will be the focus of the first-ever Micromount Gathering at Tellus. Scientists and mineral enthusiasts from around the southeast will converge on Tellus bringing with them hundreds of tiny minerals and microscopes to view the specimens.
Tellus Curator Julian Gray will discuss the appeal of this aspect of the hobby in a public lecture at 1 p.m. in the Tellus Theater.
