These small gems of the mineral kingdomΒ will be the focus of the first-ever Micromount Gathering at Tellus. Scientists and mineral enthusiasts fromΒ around the southeast will converge on TellusΒ bringing with them hundreds of tiny mineralsΒ and microscopes to view the specimens.
TellusΒ Curator Julian Gray will discuss the appealΒ of this aspect of the hobby in a public lectureΒ at 1 p.m. in the Tellus Theater.Β
