Native Plants of Georgia Lunch and Learn

What plants are native to Georgia and what plants are considered exotic?  How do we care for our native plants? 

Doug Davis, Director of the Smith-Gilbert Gardens will discuss these topics at the Bartow History Museum’s Lunch and Learn. Davis will also discuss how some native plants are used in our landscape.

The Smith-Gilbert Gardens is an established collector’s garden that has over 3,000 species of plants, many unique to American gardens. Having grown through the years, the Gardens stand out as an exceptional blend of art, history and horticultural, all creating a tranquil respite of reflection and enjoyment.

Parking is available next to the building.  The lecture is free to members and included with the price of admission for not-yet members.  Guests are invited to bring a lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. and the program will begin at noon.
