Second-Annual Atco Cleanup Set

Keep Bartow Beautiful, the city of Cartersville and other groups invite volunteers to help clean up Atco during the Great American Cleanup, events of which are held nationwide as part of Earth Day celebrations.

Atco was the site of the successful Cartersville Great American Cleanup event in 2011, and organizers hope to have an even better effort in 2012.

Volunteers are appreciated, and advance registration is not needed. Atco Baptist Church has agreed
to allow the city to register volunteers near the front of the church at the intersection of Goodyear Avenue and Parmenter Street.

Volunteers will walk through the neighborhood cleaning up trash from the sides of the roads, and the event will finish about 11:30 a.m.

Organizers look forward to a great turnout of volunteers to help spruce up the neighborhood on what should be a
beautiful spring day.
