State Senator Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, and Republican candidate for State Senate Chad Whitefield are hosting the Super Tuesday Watch Party in Cartersville.
All Republicans and like-minded conservatives from the 52nd Senate District and the newly created 14th Senate District are invited to attend. The 14th and 52nd Senate districts include all or portions of Floyd, Bartow, Cherokee, Chattooga, Gordon and Cobb counties.
"Chad and I wanted to do something to help unite our party. As conservatives, we are concerned about the direction in which the country is headed," Loudermilk said in a release. "It doesnt matter if you are for Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul or Rick Santorum, we invite all Republicans to come out to Slopes BBQ in Cartersville for the Super Tuesday Watch Party."
"Super Tuesday will be an historic event for our party," Whitefield added. "Barry and I are excited about hosting this event that is free to the public. It is neither a fundraiser nor a meeting, it is just a time for all of us to get together as Republicans, unite to defeat President Obama, and have a Grand Ol Party."
Dr. Adam Clemons, a Georgia Republican State Committeeman, had this to say: "I am excited for our party that Chad and Barry are hosting the Super Tuesday Watch Party on March 6. These two statesmen are true leaders of the conservative cause for putting this together to unite our party. I encourage all conservatives to get out and vote on March 6, and then head on over to Slopes BBQ to watch the results come in. It will be very interesting! Thank you Barry Loudermilk and Chad Whitefield for hosting this event."
On March 6, voters from Alaska, Georgia, Massachusetts, Idaho, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia will vote in the Republican and Democratic presidential primaries. Georgia, with 76 delegates at stake, is the largest prize of the Super Tuesday election.
While the event is free, if you wish to eat, food may be purchased from the menu. Soft drinks will be provided.
