The Bartow History Museum welcomes Rev. Scott W. Shepard, pastor of Brandon's Chapel Baptist Church.Β Rev. Shepard will discuss the life and ministry of Rev. Sam P. Jones of Cartersville including how Sam Jones went from an attorney with a drinking problem to America's leading evangelist of the late 1800's, being called "the most famous man in America" at the time of his death in 1906. Also, the lecture will highlight the connection between Jones andΒ Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, the home of the Grand Ole Opry.
Parking is available next to the building.Β The lecture is free to members and included with the price of admission for not-yet members. Β
