Father Phillip Scott, a Greek Orthodox priest, will lecture on the early plantations of our area, a subject which spurred him to write the book, The Plantation System in the Etowah Valley.
The program is co-sponsored by the Etowah Valley Historical Society and the Bartow History Center.
A reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the lecture program at 7 p.m.
