42–The Jackie Robinson Story Showing at Washington Park's Screen on the Green

Come out and see the life of legendary baseball great Jackie Robinson on the big screen at Washington Park's Screen On the Green.

Atlanta City Councilperson Ivory Lee Young Jr. along with the Department of Park and Recreation are hosting Washington Park Screen on the Green on Saturday evening. Β They will be showing the acclaimed film 42 - The Jackie Robinson Story.

The public is invited to this free event. Please bring chairs and blankets.Β  Picnic baskets are also welcomed.Β Washington Park is located at 101 Ollie Street, N.W., Atlanta, GA 30314

A free community health fair sponsored by the Washington Park Conservancy will take place from 5:30 p.m. until the 8 p.m. show time.

42 is a 2013 American biographical sports film written and directed by Brian Helgeland about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson, who wore jersey number 42. The film stars Chadwick Boseman as Robinson, and Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey.
