Amb. Andrew Young to Celebrate 80th Bday with Oprah and others in Atlanta

Throughout the years Andrew Young has been one of Cascade's most beloved politicians.  It is only right that as he reaches the milestone of his 80th birthday that we celebrate along with him and show our gratitude.

As a very young man, Ambassador Young marched along side Dr. Martin Luther King and devoted his life to the cause.  Andrew Young continues to fight for causes via his Andrew Young Foundation.

On May 20, 2012 Andrew Young will celebrate his 80th birthday with members of the corporate community, family and friends.  The party will feature celebrity guests performances including Grammy Award winner India Arie, singer actor Tyrese, Sheila Raye Charles , (Ray Charles Daughter) and Simone (daughter of Nina Simone) and South African born vocalist Tsidii Le Loka.  They will be joined by honorees  Dallas Austin, Edwin Moses, Laura Turner Seydel and Oprah Winfrey. Comic Jonathan Slocum, and actress, dancer, writer and producer, Jasmine Guy will host this special birthday celebration.

Proceeds from tickets and sponsorship of Andrew Young's 80th Birthday event will go to further his foundation's mission;

...to support and promote education, health, leadership and human rights in the United States, Africa and the Caribbean. Ambassador Young’s vision, legacy and example are being documented, preserved and interpreted for application by current and future leaders.
