APS Bus Crashes Into SW Atlanta Food Mart

A school bus crashed into the Cascade Food Mart in southwest Atlanta Wednesday afternoon causing extensive damage to the building.

There were no children on the Atlanta Public Schools bus, which had collided with another vehicle prior to smashing into the occupied food mart located at the intersection of Beecher Street and Cascade Avenue.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital and were listed in stable condition.

There were no injuries reported inside the building, which firefighters worked into the night to help stabilize. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
