Updated: 3rd Arrest Made in the Shooting that Killed a SW Atlanta 2 year-old in November

Update: The Atlanta Police Department has arrested a 3rd suspect in the driveby murder case that left a 2 year-old.  According to Ofc. John Chafee, it was through their questioning of the 2 other suspects in custody, that they recieved information on the third suspect.  "Through continued investigation, Atlanta Police Homicide Investigators were able to ascertain probable cause to charge a third man in this homicide," says Chafee.

Marquez Thomas has been charged with Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault and Reckless Conduct.

On 4-29-2013 Mr. Thomas turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail.

Original Story - The Atlanta Police Department finally has 2 suspects in custody, who are believed to be the shooters in a November drive-by that took the life of a 2 year-old girl and wounded her 1 year-old brother.

According to Officer John Chafee, "investigators were able to ascertain probable cause to issue warrants for Montez Thompkins (21) and Jeremy Thompkins (23)." (it is unclear to Cascade Patch if the 2 are related)

On Wednesday, April 24th, the Atlanta Fugitive Unit located and apprehended both wanted subjects in Dekalb County.

APD say that the 2 suspects fired into a home located at 2201 Polar Rock Place, where the 2 children were sleeping next to their grandmother.  WSB has pictures showing how the bullets pierced through the front door, and where they struck the children.

Officer Chafee says, both suspects, "were served with warrants for Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault and Reckless Conduct and transported to Fulton County Jail."

2 year-old Tyteyanna Motley was pronounced deceased from a gun shot wound to the chest.  Her brother has had a terrible time recovering from his gunshot wounds.
