Cascade Business & Merchants Association Meets Today on McDonalds Renovations

Also on the agenda a primer on the requirements needed to be a supplier to the city and state.

The Cascade Business and Merchants Association's April meeting is today, April 9 at the Southwest Regional Public Library, 3665 Cascade Road SW. The meeting is scheduled from 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

One of the key topics on the agenda is the planned renovation of the McDonald's outlet at 3670 Cascade Road SW.

McDonald's which is seeking a permit from the city to make and is making its presentation to the CBMA in advance of its application.

"We are encouraged that McDonald's asked to present their renovation plans to us prior to requesting a permit," CBMA President Bobbie Powell wrote in an e-asil to members. "This is good teaming and we look forward to hearing their plans."

Another key topic is a discussion designed to help businesses understand what they need to know to be considered as a supplier for contracts with Atlanta, Fulton County and Georgia state governments. Presented by the CBMA's Education/Business Development Committee, the discussion will explain why businesses need to register as suppliers and how to navigate those requirements to be in the pool of companies considered for government contracts.
