Head lice arrive year-round, but the number of cases peaks as kids return to school in the fall and then again in January after the winter school break. A Decatur High School student brought a unique caterpillar home one day, and the story has created fan art, memes and even a Pokemon character.

Erika Kulers, who goes by "Oddity" on Tumblr, came across the rare caterpillar, a spicebush swallowtail, on her way to class, according to Buzzfeed.
