City of Atlanta Announces Change in Thanksgiving Holiday Solid Waste Collection Schedule

 ATLANTA—The City of Atlanta announced the Department of Public Works (DPW) Office of Solid Waste Services will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 25, 2021. The collection of garbage, recycling, yard debris and bulk collections will be suspended on November 25 but will resume at 7 a.m. on Friday, November 26. Residents whose regular collection day is Thursday will receive services on Friday, November 26. Residents whose regular collection day is Friday will receive services on Saturday, November 27.

Those in need of additional assistance can contact the City by dialing 3-1-1 (inside Atlanta City limits) or 404-546-0311. They may also visit www.atlantaga.gov/solidwaste to find their collection day.
