Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to be Honored by Piedmont Park Conservancy at Historic Mayor’s Memory Grove

ATLANTA- Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will be honored by the Piedmont Park Conservancy with an unveiling of her name etched into a marker at the Mayor’s Memory Grove in Piedmont Park on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.
The Mayor’s Memory Grove was started by the Atlanta Women’s Club in 1925 to honor all Atlanta Mayors. The original intent of the Mayor’s Memory Grove was to plant a dogwood tree for each mayor. In 2007, the Piedmont Park Conservancy improved the area by adding the Kids’ Kingdom playground, south of the bathhouse and adjacent to the Mayor’s Grove.
