District 62 Run-Off Election - Arrington vs. Jones - Vote Today

Polls are open for the run-off election of Marvin Arrington Jr. and LaDawn Jones of District 62.  During the regular election Arrington had a handsome lead, but was unable to get over the 50% hump required to win the election.  Today will be the deciding day of the campaign, and both parties have a chance at winning the seat in the Georgia House of Representatives. 

LaDawn Jones has a second chance to surprise the front-runner and walk away with a win.  In a letter to Cascade Patch readers she said, "I have worked for District 62 because I have a vested interest in this community. My parents live here, I am raising my children here and I worship here. I have fought to build up this community and will continue to do so."

Precincts within District 62 will be open until 7 p.m. this evening.
