WSB-TV is reporting that as of 6 a.m.Β Monday morning there were roughly, "968Β homes in metro Atlanta were without power, down from more than 6,000 at 5 a.m."
Storms again rolled over the metro area on Sunday, saturating an already soaked ground which helps lead to some large healthy trees to just topple over. Β A large tree fell acrossΒ Delowe Drive just south of Campbellton RoadΒ in southwest Atlanta. Β It brought down power lines, and Georgia Power crews continued to work on Monday morningΒ to clear the road for traffic. Β Currently traffic is diverted in the area.
The news outlet also reports that Georgia Power crews are repairing a downed power line in the Buckhead area of Collier Road this morning.
