Fulton Seeks Nominations for Environmental Awards Program

The Fulton County Citizens Commission on the Environment is accepting nominations for its annual Environmental Awards Program.

The Fulton County Citizens Commission on the Environment is accepting nominations for its annual Environmental Awards Program. The FCCCE is an advisory group appointed by and reporting to members of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, whose role is to assist in shaping environmental policy. It is chaired this year by Lynn McIntyre, Director of Community Relations with the Chattahoochee Nature Center.

Each year FCCCE recognizes an individual, group and program that demonstrate excellence in establishing or supporting innovative environmental practices. Nominations are being sought in those three categoriesβ€”Best Environmental Advocate, Best Development and Best Environmental Program. Entry forms may be submitted by agencies or groups as well as individuals.

The deadline to submit entries for the 2016 Awards program is midnight, July 29, 2016. The awards will be presented October 19, 2016 at the Board of Commissioners bi-monthly meeting.
