Fulton-Area 911 Ambulance Provider Receives Accreditation

Rural/Metro Ambulance Service of Georgia provides 911 ambulance service to cities in north and south Fulton County.

Rural/Metro Ambulance Service of Georgia has receivedΒ accreditation from theΒ Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.Β 

Rural/Metro has "met the highΒ standards that have been established to encourage and promote improved quality patient care," the company said in a news release.

The current accreditation will last until April 30, 2015.

The company, which provides 911 emergency ambulance services cities in both northern and southern Fulton County,Β is one of only a few pre-hospital care providers in GeorgiaΒ to successfully complete the voluntary review process, which includes completing aΒ comprehensive application and an on-site review by national experts in emergency medicalΒ services (EMS).Β 

The accreditation applies to all of Rural/Metro’s emergency medical operationsΒ 
operating throughout Georgia.Β 

β€œI am proud of our team for continuing to provide this outstanding level of clinical and patientΒ care,” said Rural/Metro’s Chief Relations Officer John Karolzak. β€œGeorgia is served by Rural/Metro’s dedicated, professional staff and this is reflected in the observations of the evaluators.”
