Global Winter Wonderland Celebrates Diversity with Cultural Days, Starting Today

Global Winter Wonderland, the new pop-up spectacular lantern festival and multicultural theme park at Turner Field, will celebrate Atlanta’s diverse population with a series of cultural themed days, scheduled for each Sunday in December. 

Guests are invited to enjoy the music, cuisine, fashions and culture of Latino, Asian, African and African American, European and Caribbean cultures this holiday season on the following days:

·         December 1 – “Latin Fiesta” – A Celebration of Latin Culture

·         December 8 – “Asian Heritage Festival” – A Celebration of Asian Culture

·         December 15 – “Black Family Celebration” – A Celebration of African and African American Culture

·         December 22 – “Europa Extravaganza” – A Celebration of European Culture

·         December 29 – “Caribbean Carnival” – A Celebration of Caribbean Culture

“We are excited to announce these special nights to highlight Atlanta’s Latin, Asian, African, European and Caribbean cultures,” said John Lin, President of IGO Group. “In planning Global Winter Wonderland, our desire has been to deliver a truly universal event for all the people in Atlanta and we feel that putting the spotlight on various cultures through dedicated nights is a great way to fulfill that goal.”

Global Winter Wonderland will be making its Atlanta debut this holiday season, November 21, 2013 through January 5, 2014 at Turner Field.

Tickets for Global Winter Wonderland are on sale now and available for purchase at www.globalwonderland.com or by calling 770.723.3862. Tickets are $24.99 for adults, $18.99 for seniors, and $16.99 for children. Children 4 and under are admitted free. Global Winter Wonderland will be open daily from 5pm-11pm.
