
Cascade Patch just learned that the City of Atlanta will hold a groundbreaking on Wednesday morningΒ for a new park to be named West Lake Park.
According to a written statement, "Councilmember Ivory Lee Young, Jr. will join Department of ParksΒ and Recreation Commissioner George Dusenbury and community residents at 9 a.m. onΒ Wednesday, October 23 for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new West Lake Park.
βI am pleased that District 3 will be the home of a new park with a number of recreational features for all of our residents to enjoy,β Councilman Young said. Β βThe 1.39 acre park will have a walking path and areas for playing, picnicking and relaxing.β
