Groundbreaking set for Wednesday for new West Lake Park

Cascade Patch just learned that the City of Atlanta will hold a groundbreaking on Wednesday morning for a new park to be named West Lake Park.

According to a written statement, "Councilmember Ivory Lee Young, Jr. will join Department of Parks and Recreation Commissioner George Dusenbury and community residents at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23 for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new West Lake Park.

“I am pleased that District 3 will be the home of a new park with a number of recreational features for all of our residents to enjoy,” Councilman Young said.  “The 1.39 acre park will have a walking path and areas for playing, picnicking and relaxing.”

WHERE:    West Lake Park (Intersection of Joseph E. Boone Blvd. and West Lake Avenue)
