Hermine Rolls Through Georgia, Continues To Weaken
Tropical Hermine continued its slow roll through Georgia Friday afternoon, continuing to weaken even as it lashed its heavy rains and strong winds as far as the Carolinas. At 11 a.m., the storm's center was sitting about 55 miles west-southwest of Savannah.

It was moving northeast at about 18 mph, expected to move further inland on Friday and into the Carolinas by Friday night and Saturday morning. Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center predicted the storm would continue to weaken as it made its way over land Friday. >>> Read more.
