August 28th is the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

The Live Stream is now over. Presidents Carter, Clinton, and Obama spoke to thousands of people gathered outside the Lincoln Memorial.

The 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, Live from Washington, D.C. (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

The March on Washington will be remembered Wednesday, startingΒ with and interfaith service at one of D.C.'s oldest African American churches, Shiloh Baptist Church.Β

The service will then beΒ followed by a commemorative march to the Lincoln Memorial for the Let Freedom Ring Commemoration from 11:00 - 4:00 p.m.Β

β€œI’m honored to meet my father’s call to β€˜Let freedom ring’ with President Obama, President Clinton and President Carter,” said Bernice A. King, chief executive officer of The King Center. Β β€œTogether with people across America and the world, we will pause to mark the 50th anniversary of my father’s β€˜I Have a Dream’ speech, affirming the unity of people of all races, religions and nations.”
