Now Open: Gladys Knight's Signature Chicken & Waffles on Cascade

The wait is no longer, Gladys Knight's Chicken & Waffles on Cascade is now open and serving to the public.  The restaurant will open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Gladys Knight’s Signature Chicken & Waffles is located at 3752 Cascade Road Suite 100, Atlanta, GA 30331.

Established in 1997, Singer-songwriter Gladys Knight and her son Shanga Hankerson developed the concept and currently own two locations in Downtown Atlanta and Lithonia at Stonecrest. The third installment of the chicken-and-waffles concept was chosen to be placed in the popular Cascade neighborhood.

“I’m truly looking forward to bringing our newest location to the Cascade neighborhood”, Knight says. “Our goal is to continue providing the city with delicious soul food and friendly personal service. We hope guests will make Gladys Knight’s Signature Chicken & Waffles their own dining room as we encourage 
everyone to make themselves at home!”

According to Gladys Knight, she got the inspiration for the poultry-meets-breakfast restaurant from the Wells Supper Club, which was established in the 1930’s. The Wells Supper Club was a Harlem eatery where she and other famous musicians 
frequently visited when in New York City. Today, the inspiration for the concept has resonated and can be found everywhere, but nowhere like here on Cascade in Southwest Atlanta.
