NY Times says Black Women want to be Obese. Really???

Alice Randall of the New York Times wrote a controversial editorial saying that Black women are obese because they want to be.

Β

By now you may have heard of the New York Times article written by Alice Randall that states that it is her opinion that Black women want and like being obese.Β  It is her judgement that Black men like bigger women and in turn, our Black women keep a little meat on their bones.

Personally I try to eat very healthy and I am a vegetarian, but like most people I am aware of my weight and try to work on it.Β  I can not imagine anyone "wanting to be heavy."Β  So just looking at the premise of the New York Times article, I think it is wrong and probably too simplistic.
