This year's gala raised more than $500,000; making it the highest grossing gala in NBAF's history.

NBAF hosted one of their most awe-inspiring galas to-date at the Intercontinental Hotel-Buckhead. The sold-out event brought out the who’s who in Atlanta including Mayor Kasim Reed, Ambassador and Carolyn Young, Lisa Borders, Roger Bobb, Judge Penny Reynolds, Fulton County Chairman John EavesΒ and several other dignitaries, socialites and guests.

This year’s gala themed β€œA Love Note to Broadway” provided quite a few unexpected treats. Kicking off with a spectacular duet from Cascade Patch's ownΒ Kathleen Bertrand and Demetria McKinney, the evening continued with Jennifer Holliday delivering one of her most memorable performances ever. The white-dinner jacket gala celebration was hosted by Monica Pearson,Β and continued well into the next morning, with its first ever after party hosted by Egypt Sherrod.Β 

This year’s gala raised more than $500,000; making it the highest grossing gala in NBAF’s history, since the organization began its signature gala in 1997.Β Additionally, this year’s pre-gala auction was one of the most successful auctions ever; with featured pieces by TWIN, Radcliffe Bailey and the opportunity to win a VIP trip to the premier of β€œThe Butler” in NYC.Β The Gala Honorary Co-Chairs: Curley M. Dossman and Joseph R. Bankoff and theΒ Gala Event Co-Chairs: were Charmaine Ward and Verna Cleveland.Β
