Photos: Perkerson Park opens Brand New Splash Pad in time for Summer

When the Atlanta Beltine, investors, and city officials cut the ribbon on the new Perkerson Park Splash Pad, they knew that the ultimate judgement of the project would come from the local kids in the area.  The pictures, taken by Jenny Pittam, say a thousand words...  The Splash Pad is a Hit!!! 

This past Saturday afternoon hundreds of residents from across southwest Atlanta attended the Grand Opening which included games for children, music, food, and Italian ices.

“We are pleased to add another beautiful amenity to our area," said Atlanta City Councilmember Joyce M. Sheperd. "The splash pad project has received such positive support from members of the community. I am delighted to partner with the Atlanta BeltLine on this initiative.”

Perkerson Park is located at 770 Deckner Avenue, Atlanta, 30310.
