Results From The 2013 Annual African-American Trivia Bowl at Carver Early College

Congratulations to the young students at Carver Early College for winning the African American Trivia Bowl.

Editor's Note: I just wanted to share this story with our Cascade Patch readers, even though Carver is not directly in our Patch. I thought it would be of interest to some parents and administrators that may want to start the same type of competition at their respective schools.

Every year the students at Carver Early College compete against one another in an annual African-American Trivia Bowl on teams broken down by grade level.Β  According to the APS Blog, "the bowl is held every year to assess knowledge that students possess of African-American History."

The grade level with the most knowledge of African-America trivia this year ended up being the young but talented freshman class.Β  Students were selected from each grade-level of the high school to participate and represent their grade.
