Southwest Atlanta Held One of the Largest National Night Out Events in the City

Hundreds of residents turned out to the University Avenue National Night Out event held near Metropolitan Parkway on Tuesday evening celebrating neighborhood safety with Atlanta Police officers and the entire community.

This year, we were told, looked like one of the biggest turnouts ever for any National Night Out event in Atlanta. Representatives from the F.B.I, the District Attorney and others were all in attendance.

Children received back to school supplies, coloring books, clothing, and more while also having the chance to play games and even see and interact with police horses and police dogs.

National Night Out is held every year across America during the first week of August.
