The Godfather of Neo-Soul, Roy Ayers, Performs at The Wren's Nest on Saturday

In an announcement from the office of Atlanta City Councilmember Cleta Winslow, Atlanta residents are asked to please attend the Wren's Nest on Saturday afternoon, "as legendary jazz musician Roy Ayers performs some of his greatest arrangements on Saturday, July 20 at The Wren’s Nest in the West End."

Jazz at The Nest is a monthly event featuring national artists.  Concert goers can bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets.  If you have never been to the venue, it is a must see.

Roy Ayers is considered the Godfather of Neo-Soul, by many.  Ayers is a vibraphonist and vocalist who has been performing worldwide for decades.  Many know that he has appeared at the Atlanta Jazz Festival on several occasions, as well at many AUC Jazz events.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. – show starts at 6:00 p.m
