The 4th Annual Global Peace Convention is a four-day summit engaging government and civil leaders in a collaborative exchange on the challenge of peace. The conference will consist of keynotes, plenary, workshops and panel discussions as well as business and networking training and workshop sessions.

Conference Theme:
Moral and Innovative Leadership: Building Healthy Families, Ethical Societies and a Global Culture of Peace.

WHEN: November 29 through December 2, 2012

o β€œPeace and Prosperity through Trade and Investment.” – The role of the private sector in poverty reduction, sustainable development and regional stability as catalysts for peace and prosperity. The forum will consider working partnerships with government and civil society - moving beyond donor status. The direct impact of international trade and investment in peace building will be highlighted.
o β€œAfrica Perspectives and Opportunities” – Many people see Africa as the land of opportunity in the 21st Century. Rich in resources and anxious to leave behind post- colonial challenges to governance and stewardship, the nations of Africa are open for business. International and trans-tribal business networks are crucial in creating stability and unlocking the potential of the people of Africa.
o β€œKurdistan/Iraq Perspectives and Opportunities” – The Kurdistan autonomous region of Northern Iraq is a remarkable example of stable, power-sharing government with an optimistic, capable and secure citizenry. Within the conflict ridden Middle East, private sector and PPP investment in the Kurdistan region reflect a clear example of the value of commerce in securing peace and stability. The region offers countless opportunities but remains hidden behind intense negative media from Iraq and its neighbors in Iran and Syria.
