Vote and help Burdett Park's Basketball Court win $15,000 from Sprite

Sprite Spark Parks Project voting continues until May 31st, in which you can vote for only 1 of 25 courts nationwide that you think deserve and need a basketball court renovation.

We are thrilled to have Burdett Park within College Park, on the list of prospective parks that could win the renovation grant. I know Burdett is slightly out of our Cascade and SW Atlanta area, but I am sure some of our Camp Creek Pkwy friends are familiar with this park and it would be a good thing for us all if the park wins the grant to renovate its basketball courts.

Via the Sprite Spark Parks Project, Sprite and the NRPA are giving people an opportunity to get their local courts back in the game. Burdett Park has been selected as one of 25 courts nationwide to be refreshed through the program, and local residents can show their support and raise critical funds by voting at www.SpriteSparkParks.com.  You can vote once per day until May 31, 2012 by logging on and casting a FREE vote using the promotional code: SPRITEPARKATL.

Sprite will donate $275,000 to be distributed among the 25 parks in grants ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. The funds will be used to refurbish rims, backboards, lights, benches and playing surfaces – sparking new life to these courts.
