County Communications Officers Named 'Dispatch Team of the Year'
Forsyth County's communications officers were honored at the Georgia Emergency Communications Conference.

Forsyth County’s Communications Officers were honored for their hard work and dedication at a conference last week where they were named Georgia’s “Dispatch Team of the Year.”
The team was given the award at the Georgia Emergency Communications Conference in Athens last week, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
“Our ‘A Watch’ was working during the courthouse shooting last year,” officials said in a Facebook post. “We were very grateful for their calm voices that day.”

Individuals on the team were also honored. Communications Center director Pat Giordano was nominated for Director of the Year. Communications Officer Ginger Adams was nominated for Supervisor of the Year.
