Evan Kane Signs to Play Soccer at Rhodes College

The local senior follows in his brother's footsteps in joining the soccer team

Pinecrest Academy Senior Evan Kane signed on April 21, 2022 to continue his soccer career at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. He will join his brother, Brendan Kane, who is a sophomore at Rhodes and also a member of the soccer team.

During his tenure on Pinecrest's Varsity Soccer team, the Paladins brought home three GHSA Class 1A Private Region Championships, making it to the Sweet 16 in 2021 and to the Final Four in 2022.

Kane's accomplishments while at Pinecrest are numerous. He has been a Varsity starter since sophomore year, serving as team captain his junior and senior years. He was named to the United Soccer Coaches and GACA All State team in 2021 and to the GAHSS All State team in 2022. Kane earned Region Defensive Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022, and was named to the All Region First Team for three consecutive years, 2020-2022. Additionally, he was All County in 2020 and 2021.
