Flash Flood Warning Extended (Update)
Forecasters predict another one to two inches of rain will fall before noon, with flash flooding expected to begin shortly.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for portions of the metro Atlanta area due to heavy rainfall Wednesday morning.
The warning, which expires at 2:15 p.m. Cobb, Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, and Douglas counties.
The NWS says that up to an inch of rain has already accumulated in the warning zone, and predicts another one to two inches will fall before noon. The heavy rains will cause creeks to flash flood shortly.
