• Retired Officer Fatally Hit By Vehicle While Volunteering At Cumming Parade (patch.com) — Cumming residents are mourning retired law-enforcement officer and volunteer Robert Muth, who died after being struck by a vehicle while directing traffic for the city’s Christmas parade. Authorities say the driver stayed at the scene and charges are expected as the investigation continues. Local police, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, and city officials are honoring Muth’s years of service and asking the community to keep his family and fellow volunteers in their thoughts.
