In Memoriam: Thomas “Buffy” Arrowsmith Nash Jr., 52

Arrowsmith was a 27-year veteran of Law Enforcement. His last position was with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Thomas “Buffy” Arrowsmith Nash Jr., 52 of Cumming, GA passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Northside Hospital-Forsyth.

He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider who loved to hunt. He was a member of the Blue Nights, Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. He served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. While serving he received the Parachute Badge, Rifle M-16 Expert Badge, Hand Grenade Expert Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Jungle Expert Badge and the National Defense Service Medal.

While in the Army he attended Special Forces and Jungle Operation training. He received an Associate of Science Degree from the Georgia Military College in Criminal Justice. He was a 27-year veteran of Law Enforcement. His last position was with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Ellison Nash, II.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lori Nash of Cumming; parents, Thomas A. Sr. and Elizabeth M. Nash of Augusta, GA; mother, Judith Nash of Fayetteville, NC.; children, Christopher Denson of Dallas, GA, Ashley Denson of Cumming; sister, Connie Bennett of Tallahassee, FL; brothers, Charles A. Ergle of Dallas, TX, Chris Ergle of Augusta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 21, at 2 p.m. at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Chaplin Derry Cochran of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 20, from 5-9 p.m. and again on Friday, June 21, from noon until service time at the funeral home.
