Man Dies After Tree Falls on SUV

A man died this afternoon after a tree toppled onto his vehicle at the intersection of Brookwood and McGinnis Ferry Road in South Forsyth County near the Johns Creek border, according to authorities.

It is unclear at this time if the severe thunderstorm that passed through the county this afternoon in the one o'clock hour was the cause of the accident.

Capt. House said it appears that there is only one passenger in the vehicle, but said he did not know for sure, "we have several tons of tree on the vehicle."

Authorities are extricating the man out of the SUV.
