GA-400 Crash Kills Motorcyclist In Forsyth Co.
A driver whose motorcycle was rear-ended in a crash on GA-400 is dead after being ejected from the vehicle, authorities say.
CUMMING, GA — A motorcyclist is dead after his vehicle was rear-ended Monday morning on GA-400 southbound, causing him to be ejected, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said.
The fatal crash happened around 6 a.m. on GA-400 near the bottom of the southbound on-ramp from Pilgrim Mill Road, authorities said.
A 2017 Toyota Yaris was traveling behind a 2007 Triumph Scrambler motorcycle on the on-ramp when the Yaris rear-ended the motorcycle as both vehicles were merging onto GA-400, authorities said.

The motorcycle driver, who authorities identified as 54-year-old Cumming resident Toby Gant, was ejected from the Scrambler and the Yaris then veered left across the southbound lanes and hit a guardrail, authorities said.
An off-duty emergency medical technician with American Medical Response North Fulton immediately pulled over and began rendering aid to Gant, authorities said.

However, authorities said Gant was pronounced dead at the scene. They added there were no other injuries.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit is investigating the crash.
