• GA-400 Crash Kills Motorcyclist In Forsyth Co. (patch.com) — Residents in Cumming are mourning 54-year-old local resident Toby Gant, who died Monday morning when his motorcycle was rear-ended while merging onto GA-400 southbound from Pilgrim Mill Road. An off-duty EMT stopped to render aid, but Gant was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Traffic Specialist Unit is now investigating the crash.
   

• Cumming man charged with home invasion (appenmedia.com) — A 47-year-old Cumming resident was arrested after allegedly entering a nearby home on Spring Valley Drive in Forsyth County and trying to kick in a door early Dec. 20. Deputies say a 75-year-old woman, who did not know the man, called 911 after he entered her bedroom while she and her husband were asleep.
